Whether you’re seeking deep self-connection or embracing shared bliss, join Ruth John, trained Cacao Ceremony Facilitator and Integrative Therapeutic Practitioner for a:

  • Heart-awakening Cacao Ceremony: Be lead in a beautifully connective ceremony, welcoming the spirit of mamacita. Set intentions, create personal candle rituals and pull oracle cards in the sanctuary of The Reset Well-being Hub. Sip the ancient elixir of the Incas, known to open the heart, deepen intimacy, and release emotional blocks. Find love within, radiate it outwards.
  • Immersive Gong Bath & curated playlist: Surrender to the transformative vibrations of gongs, singing bowls, and chimes. Wash away stress, awaken intuition, and experience profound relaxation.

  • Cacao: Boost mood, unlock creativity, enhance emotional well-being, connect to your sacred self.
  • Breathwork to curated playlist: drop into your powerful body and release stuck tensions, escape into a world of intuition and move your body in a way it’s asking. That could be deep rest, gentle flowing movements or standing up and creating shapes
  • Gong Bath: Reduce stress, alleviate anxiety, release emotional blockages, experience deep relaxation.

The Cacao will be carefully created by Ruth, with ceremonial grade cacao from Welsh business, Full Power Cacao. Ruth uses an ancient recipe of spices, plant milk and infuses the cacao with Reiki.

This is a sacred ceremony, a space for you to disconnect from the outside noise and reconnect to YOU – as such, only appropriate photos will be taken at the start of the session, before all phones will be turned off.

Before booking, please read the below contraindications. By booking any Reset Well-being session, you are responsible for your health and well-being.

Medical conditions:

  • Heart conditions: Cacao contains theobromine, a stimulant similar to caffeine, which can raise heart rate and blood pressure. If you have existing heart conditions like arrhythmias, high blood pressure, or recent heart surgery, consult your doctor before consuming cacao.
  • Anxiety and panic disorders: The stimulating properties of cacao might exacerbate anxiety symptoms in individuals with existing anxiety or panic disorders. Approach with caution and start with very small amounts if curious.
  • Kidney disease: Theobromine is processed by the kidneys. If you have kidney disease, excessive cacao consumption can put additional strain on your kidneys. Consult your doctor for personalized recommendations.
  • Migraines: Cacao can trigger migraines in individuals who are sensitive to it. If you’re prone to migraines, proceed cautiously and observe your body’s response.

Medications and substances:

  • Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs): Cacao contains tyramine, which can interact with MAOIs and potentially lead to dangerously high blood pressure. If you’re taking MAOIs, avoid cacao altogether.
  • Antidepressants: While not a direct contraindication, cacao’s mood-altering effects may interact with certain antidepressants. Consult your doctor for guidance if you’re unsure.
  • Stimulants: Combining cacao with other stimulants like coffee, tea, or energy drinks can lead to excessive stimulation and potential side effects like anxiety, jitteriness, or insomnia. Consider spacing out your intake or choosing decaffeinated alternatives.

Other considerations:

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding: While moderate cacao consumption during pregnancy might be okay, it’s best to consult your doctor for personalized advice. Avoid high doses throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding due to potential stimulant effects on the baby.
  • Sensitivity and allergies: Some individuals might experience allergic reactions to cacao, manifesting as skin rashes, digestive issues, or headaches. Start with small amounts and observe your body’s response.

Parking can be found in Court Road multistorey car park, or in the car park behind Barry Library.
