Wild & Whimsy: A Three-Day West Wales Retreat

Friday 12 – Sunday 14 November 2027
Park Hall, Cwmtydu, Ceredigion, West Wales
2 nights | 3 days | Maximum 8 guests | £195 deposit + monthly installments total £795

What if a wellbeing retreat wasn’t just about slowing down or “working on yourself”?

What if it also gave you the chance to play, create, explore, laugh, eat beautiful food and experience things you might never ordinarily make time for?

Wild & Whimsy was born following my own solo trip to Ceredigion and a desire to create something a little different.

For two nights and three days, we’ll make our home in a secluded country house nestled between woodland and the West Wales coast.

There will be therapeutic depth and the nervous-system-led approach you’ve come to expect from Reset, but this retreat is also about curiosity, creativity and experience.

Clay-covered hands. Incense. Tarot cards around the table. Sea air. Sauna steam. Botanicals. Music in your headphones as we move outside. Homemade cake. Long conversations. Breathwork. Sound.

And importantly, space between it all.

Welcome to Wild & Whimsy.

Where is the Wild & Whimsy Retreat?

Our home for the weekend is Park Hall in Cwmtydu, Ceredigion, on the beautiful West Wales coast.

The large country house sits in the wooded Cwmtydu valley, south of New Quay, with Cardigan Bay and the coast close by.

We’ll have the house as our retreat base, giving us space to gather together while still allowing room to disappear with a book, drink a quiet cup of tea or simply enjoy our surroundings.

Weather permitting, we’ll also make use of the grounds for outdoor somatic movement.

What’s included in the Wild & Whimsy Retreat?

🏺 Private Xiang Dao 香道 pottery experience

This may be one of the most unusual experiences I’ve ever included in a Reset retreat.

We’ll visit the wonderfully whimsical studio of a TV pottery artist for a private creative experience inspired by Xiang Dao 香道 and the art of incense.

You’ll work with clay to create your very own incense burner, which will later be fired for you to keep.

No pottery experience is needed.

This isn’t about being “good at art”. It’s about getting your hands into the clay, learning something new and having fun creating something completely your own.

🌊 Beach sauna & botanical sauna ritual

We’ll also head to the coast for a private sauna experience overlooking the sea.

Alongside the sauna itself, I’ll share elements of guided sauna ritual including botanicals, aromatics and traditional leafy whisking techniques.

There’ll be time to move between heat, fresh coastal air and rest, before returning to Park Hall with nowhere else we need to be.

This is contrast therapy, Reset style — less about endurance and much more about experiencing heat, nature, sensation and connection to your body.

🎧 Outdoor somatic movement

Weather permitting, Saturday morning will begin on the lawn.

Cacao in hand.

Headphones on.

Music playing.

And an invitation to move.

I’ll guide you through a somatic movement and dance experience, with no choreography, performance or expectation about what movement should look like.

Just music, morning air and an opportunity to meet your body exactly where it is.

And if West Wales weather has other ideas? We’ll take it indoors.

🔮 Tarot, breathwork & sound therapy

Friday evening will bring us back to some of the work at the heart of Reset.

We’ll gather with tarot and intention before I guide you through Conscious Connected Breathwork, followed by sound therapy and deep rest.

My approach is trauma and nervous-system informed, and everything is invitational. You will never be expected to share personal experiences with the group or participate in something that doesn’t feel right for you.

Sunday morning will be intentionally gentler, giving us time to integrate our weekend before returning home.

What will the weekend look like?

The final itinerary may move slightly depending on weather and our external experiences, but the weekend will broadly follow this rhythm.

Friday — Arrive

Arrive from approximately midday and make yourself at home.

We’ll have welcome drinks and homemade treats waiting before allowing plenty of time to choose rooms, unpack and explore.

Later we’ll gather for our opening experience and tarot before sharing dinner together.

Our first evening will finish with breathwork and sound therapy, followed by an invitation to simply rest.

Saturday — Experience

We’ll begin with outdoor somatic movement before breakfast.

Saturday is then our big Wild & Whimsy day, incorporating our private pottery experience and coastal sauna ritual.

We’ll return to Park Hall for showers, rest and time to ourselves before gathering again over a beautiful evening meal.

There won’t be another workshop waiting for you afterwards.

Pull some tarot cards. Put your pyjamas on. Talk. Read. Laugh. Have another piece of cake.

The unscheduled time is part of the retreat too.

Sunday — Return

Sunday morning will be deliberately spacious and gentle.

We’ll share breakfast and a light closing practice incorporating grounding, meditation, sound and reflection.

There’ll then be time to pack, enjoy the house and say our goodbyes before departing around midday.

And you won’t leave empty-handed…

Who is this West Wales retreat for?

Wild & Whimsy has been created for adults who would love a longer Reset retreat with more time, more experience and a little more luxury.

You don’t need to have attended Reset before.

You don’t need experience of breathwork, pottery, sauna, somatic practices or tarot.

And you don’t need to arrive knowing anybody.

This retreat may particularly appeal if you’re craving a few days away from everyday responsibilities and want something that combines wellbeing, creativity, nature, rest and genuinely memorable experiences rather than an itinerary packed with workshops from morning until night.
